Started by the Gallery family in 1982, we have enjoyed providing fresh Christmas Trees and decorations to the Northern Virginia community every since. Starting a third generation of customers, staffed by many children and grandchildren of our customers, and with our four children, now spread across the country, coming back each season, we're working to keep the tradition for our family and many others going.

Choosing a life outside the hustle and convenience of D.C. wasn’t the easy path. But in the early 1980s, Almost Heavenly Christmas Trees founder Phil Gallery wanted something different for his growing family — something slower, something real, something rooted.

Tree farming with two young boys was already tough work. Then came the twins.
Four kids under four.
Long days. Freezing mornings.
And a work ethic that refused to quit.

In 1984, the Gallery family sold their very first Christmas trees at Southern Towers. Then came Hamlets. Then Landmark. The locations changed, the kids grew, the years rolled on… but the heart of it never shifted.

A family working side‑by‑side.
A community returning year after year.
A tradition that outlasted the decades.

Today, Almost Heavenly is still exactly what Phil hoped it would be — his oldest son, Matt, is now running the business and it continued to be a place where families slow down, choose their tree with intention, and feel a little bit of Christmas magic the moment they step onto the lot.
