Across the street from my house in Alexandria, Tennessee, 250 people gathered at the DeKalb County Fairgrounds for the Jake Harris Memorial Car Show and Corn Hole Tournament. All proceeds go to the Jake Harris Scholarship Foundation — keeping Jake’s memory alive by giving like he did. Old Mustangs. Muscle cars. Decked out pickup trucks. Live band. Silent auction. In a small town you don’t wait to be asked. You show up. That’s community. That’s Yesterday’s Medicine. Yesterday’s Medicine is today’s cure.

How much of your life are you living for other people's approval? I wasted years trying to prove myself and make everyone happy - it nearly killed me. Real freedom came when I stopped asking "What will they think?" and started asking "What does God want? What does my family need?" Stop performing for an audience. Live by your values.

My grandfather worked a mile underground in coal mines and it made him a man you could count on. At 58, after 34 years building fences and going through a divorce that nearly broke me, I learned that comfort doesn’t build character - struggle does. Every hard thing I faced shaped me into who I am today. The struggle is the blessing. I wrote, arranged, and recorded the instrumental track for this video because this message deserved its own sound. When the words come from the heart, the music should too.

I’ve owned at least a dozen Stratocasters 1970s through 2000 and I believe this is my favorite. It plays great sounds great. This is me playing it through a vendor. Princeton Silver face on 6 volume. Anybody else that has any videos of them playing their Japanese guitar feel free to post them up? Everybody be kind or I’ll kick your ass. I’m just kidding of course.😂
