Take it slow ©2024

Who can run from the past?
Not possible
Improbable
Our brains try to block
but lose every round
if you manage to erase
the years won’t keep pace
out of nowhere you’re found
don’t deny what you know
no one is perfect
take it slow
take it slow (:

Spotlight Troubador ©2024 Js

He sang along and alone
No one would guess
He did it all off the top of his head
He wasn’t a leader
Was a poetry feeder
Words were bullets
But he never knew how
He was shooting off the bough
Like some mad Englishman
People defined what was not dfinable
He noticed what was happening
But that did not matter
This mad hatter had his own
Rabbit hole
Greatness comes from your mind
If your listening
That’s a beginning
Not a revolution
He sang along and alone

Cry js 2024 w

It’s ok to cry
And get it all out
Tends to heal
Shows you what’s real

It counts js

Dust can burn your eyes
Sort of helps get your mind off things
The moments of truth
The moments of lies
The moments shared
As you watch the sun rise
Love is not manufactured
Or gained
It’s part of what makes you sane
If only for a moment
Your part of the game
