We made the switch to Libro.fm years ago and haven't looked back.
Here's why:

📚 Your membership supports an independent bookstore instead of Amazon.

🎧 Your audiobooks are DRM-free, so you actually own them.

❤️ You get the same great listening experience while helping local bookstores thrive.

✍️ More authors are calling for a healthier, more competitive audiobook ecosystem.

Have you heard the news? Libro.fm is launching ebooks in a few months! We are so excited for more ways to support indie bookstores!

The Wold Cup might be over, but we are not done talking about Messi!

Lionel Messi was one of the greatest global soccer players, he could have gone anywhere, and he chose the up-and-coming US MLS.

Paul Tenorio is coming to Old Town Books to talk all the details on Messi and the effect he's had on US soccer. If you watched any of the World Cup, or even just played soccer as a kid, you won't want to miss this event on Thursday, August 14th at 7 PM.

You can RSVP at OldTownBooks.com.

If you know you're going to buy a book... preorder it. 📚

Preorders do a lot more than reserve your copy.

✨ They tell publishers readers are excited, which can lead to more marketing and publicity.

✨ They help bookstores decide which books to stock, display, and recommend.

✨ They all count toward a book's first week of sales, which can help it land on bestseller lists and reach even more readers.

✨ And when you preorder from your local independent bookstore, you're often first in line for signed copies, indie editions, and other special extras.
It's one of the simplest ways to support authors before a book even hits the shelves.

What's a book you're excited to preorder this year? Tell us in the comments.

The book might be called Cruise to Nowhere, but at his book event last night, James Renner lead us on a cruise to lots of laughs and learning!

James went from Grenada to Chesterfield to the exact cruise ship Amy Lynn Bradley disappeared on in 1998 researching this book. And A Cruise to Nowhere is about his adventures delving into this case as much as it is an exploration of what happened to Amy.

This is a truely unique read in the best of ways. Thank you so much to James Renner for coming to Old Town Books! We have signed copies available of A Cruise to Nowhere and True Crime Addict! You can order through our website for shipping or in store pick up.
