Ryker Stone of Whittemore was diagnosed with Leigh Syndrome SURF1—a fatal mitochondrial disorder—in April 2026 at just 3.5 years old.

The Cure Mito Foundation is in the final stages of a possible cure and it could arrive as soon as next year with sufficient funding.

Urban Dress Co. is donating 10% of sales on homecoming dresses and wedding gown preservation kits during the month of September to Ryker and his family to help raise funds for the Cure Mito Foundation💚
