Finally got off my lazy ass and finished up this punchout.

Both monitors are recapped and look great. New t molding and side art.

Almost time to physically restore the rare dual Nintendo vs.

I spent a little time on it last year getting the monitors recapped. unfortunately the power supply that was in it decided to explode and nuked the other boardset (took out the processors and I think the rams as well, haven't got that far). I should've used a board with cheaper games on it for testing.... But I've never seen a Nintendo switcher do that before. Rip Castlevania and goonies 😞

When's the last time you saw one that still had the correct xm2001 monitor and black buttons

Working on the root b**r tapper that was converted to pac land. It also had 6 pack art on it.... So it's had multiple conversions over the years.

It's fought me left and right.

First I got the monitor working. It still needs a rejuv because the red absolutely sucks.

Then I removed the old linear power supply and put in an MCR switcher. I had no sound. After some poking and prodding... I had 12 going into my MCR switcher, but not coming out. The brand new MCR adapter was bad 😞.

Swapped in yet another new one.... Yay.... Pacland had sound.

Now I pull the factory conversion wiring off and put in an actual MCR board in. I bought 2 timber sets on eBay (one tested working and one tested not working. The supposedly working set has a dead sound board. I guess they didn't test that part. The NON working set.... Fires right up.... But also didn't have sound. It turned out that someone had the test dip switches on. I turned them off and just like magic.... Sound works.

It's too hot for this s**t 😂

3 awesome arcades came in. The original syzygy (Atari) pong, exidy destruction derby (death race before it was death race, lol), and a punchout.

Brought the dead starship troopers home since I had an empty space. Got it kinda sorta working
