🇺🇸🎆 THE CELEBRATION CONTINUES! 🎆🇺🇸

July Jubilee: America250 has been rescheduled for Friday, July 24 in Downtown Allegan!

After last week's weather-related cancellation of the fireworks, we've been working with our fireworks contractor, emergency personnel, event partners, entertainment, and vendors to bring this once-in-a-generation celebration back.

We're doing a complete redo of the event with everything you were looking forward to:
🍔 Food | 5:00-10:00pm
🇺🇸 Star-Spangled Parade | 5:30pm
🎶 Live music on two stages featuring new entertainment!
🎆 Full fireworks spectacular over the Kalamazoo River | 10:00pm — twice the BOOM for 250 years! 💥

And the celebration doesn't stop there. July 24 kicks off a packed summer weekend in Downtown Allegan, with Downtown Sip & Shop happening Thursday–Saturday, Music at Mahan and the Ryan Hurd & Friends Lake Allegan Benefit Concert at the Griswold Auditorium on Saturday, and businesses open special hours for Antique Sunday during the Allegan Antiques Market.

It's going to be a summer weekend to remember. Mark your calendars, spread the word, and join us for a belated celebration of America's 250th birthday! ❤️🤍💙

Some traditions begin long before December.

We’re delighted to officially announce that The Bear & Fox Yarn Den™ 2026 Holiday Gift Calendar is now available for preorder.

Every calendar is assembled by hand here at the shop (likely by Justin again), filled one day at a time, and created to make the weeks leading up to the holidays feel just a little more magical.

What makes us especially happy is that many of this year’s first reservations have come from people who experienced last year’s calendar and wanted to be part of it again. Nothing tells us we’re on the right path more than that.

Whether you’re counting down to Christmas, celebrating Yule, observing Hanukkah, or simply love the joy of opening a new yarn-inspired surprise each day, we’ve created this experience to celebrate the simple delight of handmade creativity.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us this year, now is the perfect time to reserve yours before our production schedule fills. As you can imagine, because every calendar is assembled by hand, we’ll need to close reservations once we reach the maximum number we can realistically produce.

Because handmade still matters.

Cubs & Kits is our lively community gathering where stories are shared, friendships are made, and inspiration flows as freely as the tea.

Silent Stitching Saturday is something different—a peaceful space to simply stitch. No pressure to socialize. No expectations. Just soft music, a calming atmosphere, and the quiet comfort of creating alongside others.

Because sometimes we need conversation.

And sometimes we need silence.

Both are community.

Both are welcome.
