🪴 BLESSINGS FROM THE GARDEN🪴

Tim reached out via our website to inquire about visiting times in the garden so he could bring his dad to experience what he had heard about our sanctuary. He wanted to help his dad, who is now in the late stage of Alzheimer’s.

They arrived on a beautiful 73 degree day. “Hello Tim & Frank. Welcome! We hope you enjoy your time here.”

“Before we begin our walk, could you please tell us a little about what led you to plant and design your beautiful place and invite others to partake of it?,” Tim asked.

I shared a little of our history and how God led us to help people HEAL—to—RESTORE.

They invited me to walk with them as I shared. When I finished, Tim began to read the inspirational Bible verses and promises to his father. It was so precious and profound to witness such love and care for his father as his father struggled to walk but didn’t want to stop. He was almost pulling Tim along! Then His father abruptly stopped, turned around, and looked straight at me and said, “Thank you, God bless your garden.” 🥹

Tears filled Tim’s eyes, and I later found out he had not heard his father’s voice for quite some time. “You’re welcome! And I am so glad you both are here,” I responded.

I encouraged them to take some time to enjoy each other more.

I left with a song in my heart and a gratitude that made me soar into praise for all that God is doing and blessing others in this special place. (PSALM 150:6)

Later that day, I received an email from Tim. “THANK YOU for all that you did for us today, but especially for me. I haven’t seen my dad smile that much in a long time. Your place truly is healing. And even if for only a moment of seeing him again in that way, I am extremely grateful. I hope to bring him back, but if I cannot, due to his worsening condition, I will come back. I hope God continues to grow your garden. So many of us need a place like yours. Thank you!”

“You are always welcome here,” I replied with a smile.

🥳These are the moments that make all the hard work to make this garden possible and beautiful for you to be HEALED-to-RESTORED in some way. We all come broken before the Lord; however, His purpose is to heal us completely, and His love keeps Him trying to help us understand His immeasurably restorative LOVE for us.

Our part is to plant and water, and it’s God who gives the increase to celebrate His faithfulness.

I HAD A MOMENT this morning… lots going on and sometimes you have to step back, pause, and pray, asking God to clarify the situation before you. ALWAYS REMEMBER: when we allow the confusion to interfere, intercept, and interrupt our peace, God is preparing to expand our perspective on the situation and to recognize our divine resources to overcome abundantly.

When I have a “moment,” I ask God to reveal anything that is not of Him and to untwist any hurtful ways that hinder me from seeing Him in a greater light.

When we are called to go on mission with the Lord, HE WILL ALLOW many things to KEEP US ON the JOURNEY all the more bold and strengthened because of it.

FAITH is not for the fearful but for those who fearlessly face whatever God orchestrates to conquer and help others conquer all the more.

This is the adventure promised in John 3:16… are you living out an adventure through faith in Christ? If so, recognize God as He uses all things to grow and heal you, so that in turn, you would help others restore.

If you are not living out your greatest adventure in faith and what you are purposed for, come to the sanctuary and find out.

“Search me, oh God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there’s any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.” —PSALM 139:23-24

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THIS PRECIOUS FAMILY FOR TAKING A DAY TO HELP US CLEAN AND MAINTAIN THE GARDENS!!!

After they finished, they said it was fun! Truly, it was a work of the Lord to make it fun for youth to do garden work! Humongous THANK YOU and a to those who supplied the materials!!!

When Paul counsels us to assess our faith, not that of others, but our own, we will know that we are truly living and representing Christ when our lives are offensive and attractive at the same time. (2 Corinthians 13:5,2 Peter 1:10-11)

Not too long ago, I taught 2 Corinthians 2:14-17 because these verses are hard to understand, yet they are exactly what happens when we live authentic faith.

Because of your authenticity, some will come to the Lord and choose to live for Him, and some will be so offended and hate you because of it.

When you experience both of these situations at the same time in your life, know that the testing of your faith is being strengthened and flourishes all the more.

When we learn to embrace God’s love and acceptance of us, LOVE won’t let anything hinder us from fulfilling our extraordinary purpose, knowing we are traveling through until we are taken to our eternal home.

The more we read the Bible sincerely wanting to understand, the more we will yearn for our eternal home. If we find ourselves too busy to read the WORD OF GOD, the BIBLE, and yearning more for the things of the world, our focus has been hijacked and displaced. (MATTHEW 6:33)
