Thought I’d share my Gumball display case I made in high school wood shop class, 1980. When the NFL consisted of 28 teams, strategically measured to space 6 helmets across both bottom & top rows +16 more vertically stored on individual shelves. Then behind the plexiglas enclosed center ‘showcase’ was room for 12 ‘retired’ issues.
But then some team designs changed, I kept acquiring more… so I added to the collection by just setting helmets on top. In a matter of a few short years I easily outgrew this handmade display shelf and the fragile side shelves broke beyond repair. But it was cool for a while back in the day.

Hi Collectors! Just landed this absolutely rare, vintage stunning GEM MINT condition 1971 New England Patriots RED SLEEVES variation gumball helmet. 50 YEARS OLD, yes 50! Totally uncirculated, unimprovable condition. Stickers applied straight, like it just awoke from a time capsule... I've been collecting since 1967, I unequivocally have never owned a 50 year old helmet in this pristine condition! I won't even handle it for any chance to adversely affect it's vivid decal colors with oils from fingers. $20 Please inquire with MESSAGE if you are interested.

Still want a chance to sharpen your pencils like the cool kids? This Ebay auction for all of my 13 remaining gumball helmet sharpeners closes tonight! Saturday, Mar 6 at 8:00pm (eastern). None of the sharpeners have been used, all totally clean of any debris.
