As many of you have heard by now. Kathy Jones, beloved trainer, judge, friend, mentor, and local equine professional was seriously injured on Saturday morning (3/29) when she was struck by a motor vehicle while walking on foot at the Tryon Equestrian Center. Kathy was airlifted to a trauma center where she is currently being monitored in their ICU. Her injuries include a broken femur, a ruptured spleen, and a severe brain bleed. While her condition is now stable, she has a long and uncertain road to recovery ahead of her. Many in our equestrian community have reached out with generous offers of support and are wondering what we can do to help.
There is a gofundme in place now to help with future expenses, etc., under Kathy's Path to Recovery (organized by her son). If you can, help. Thanks.
