Just participated in my first ever sock week. I set a goal to make 4 socks (2 pairs) between Sunday 7/9 and Sunday 7/16 and I finished the 4th sock last night (7/14)!
Sock Week 2023 is run by Natalie of Knitty Natty and I used yarn from 2 of the sponsors, Rising Tide Fiber Co (Jellyfish Jubilee) and Nicole C Mendez (Sock Island.) I did the Jellyfish Jubilee in the String of Lights pattern by Sock Witchery and the Sock Island as cuff down vanilla socks.

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted any updates here, but I’m still knitting and crocheting all the things. I recently tried a new skill: Tunisian crochet. I’m not a pro by any means, but I had a great time joining the Scheepjes Landscape Shawl Makealong. Here’s my recently finished shawl:

She’s finished! My waterscape-inspired Landscape Shawl was made using Scheepjes Scrumptious yarn in 13 different colors. From the Great Sacandaga Lake in upstate New York to the Atlantic Ocean and beyond, water is beautiful, life-giving and brings times of refreshing to my soul. I’m thankful to my family for helping me with these photos at the lake today.
This MAL has been such a cool experience, from learning Tunisian crochet to choosing colors to admiring all the gorgeous WIPs and especially enjoying Martin’s enthusiasm, joy and positivity. Thank you, Scheepjes!
My colors: blue surf cake, buttercream icing, rainforest cake, mint chocolate cookie, mint whoopie pie, French blue macaron, ocean pudding cup, Forest fruit pound cake, green velvet cake, green tea eclairs, key lime pie, honeydew melon sorbet, cornmeal muffins.
