Welcome to the Facebook home of Walnut Creek Mercantile. The building, located in Altona, Illinois, dates to the 1850s and was restored in 2012-2013. The store specializes in primitive antiques and unique pieces of Americana.

I was totally prepared to show more pumpkin pics today until I arrived at the store and looked across the street. Suddenly my priorities changed.
What a beautiful tribute by our local volunteer fire dept and if you think that's a mannequin next to the truck, think again. How very proud I am of my little town and my country.
