💔 Our hearts are broken that once again national headlines report an active shooter incident at a school. This underscores the importance for every school to be prepared with proactive security technology & procedures in place.

Superintendent Jeffery Cassell gave an emotional post-incident report of the shooting at Westwood Hills Elementary School, saying, "𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘥. It is back-to-school season and parents everywhere are entrusting schools with their child's safety and wellbeing. An essential part of any school safety and security strategy is the access control system in place. A recent study from the ALERRT Center at Texas State University underscores the importance of securing doors:
