Happy October everyone!
I know I’ve been AWOL the last few months but a lot has been happening. This post might be a bjt of a downer but please read until the end.
A lot of you already know this but back in July I lost Mom and I’ve honestly had a hard time wanting to crochet as this is something she taught me when I was young. We did this together. I learned new techniques and showed her and she showed me a lot of basics.
Also, a lot of you know October is a rough month as two years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. So while I love Halloween and decorating for it, it’s bit hard because it’s also breast cancer awareness month.
Anyway, since you’ve made it this far onto a good part. I’m following the tradition that Mom and I have done for the last 4 years and starting to make hats. We’ve done this every year and we try to find places to donate them. (I have places already that I trust to donate to.) So to keep with tradition every hat made to sell I am also making one to donate. I will be posting the ones I sell as I complete them with all the details. As always, most will be $10. I’m using yarn I already have on hand but if there’s a pattern you like and want it in different colors I will do it for for an extra $5 (I don’t drive so I have to get a ride or have it delivered so this covers my extra fees).

Updated information since I’ve suddenly gotten a lot of messages about items.

At this time I am not taking custom orders. Items posted are ready to ship. I occasionally post certain items that I take custom orders for.

Payment is either cash from locals or PayPal. I do not use Zelle or cash app. Please do not ask me to download these. You do not need to have a PayPal account for payment. I just need you to send me your email address so I can send you an invoice. I do not accept checks at all.

I meet at only a couple locations for locals. We can set this up via messenger. I ship using priority mail so that there’s insurance and tracking on it. This is for both our protection.

Apparently it’s the time of year again for scammers. Between my job and medical appointments I do not have time or patience for anyone trying to waste my time.

I just spent 4 days having someone attempt to scam me from a locked account (not available within the US), call me at all hours from messenger, and come up with excuses as to why they couldn’t send me an email address for an invoice to pay for items. People like this make it hard for people to want to do business on platforms like this. Sites like Etsy make it so crafters literally make pennies on products and they have to charge a fortune for items. Teedo is so new people don’t use it like etsy and it can be confusing. So options are direct selling from places like here or instagram (and advertising on sites like lemon8 and TikTok).
