📚✨ One of the things we're most excited about with our new permanent home?

We finally have a space to gather!

The trailer gave us the opportunity to bring books to our community, but having a permanent home means we can do so much more — workshops, release parties, seasonal events, and plenty of opportunities for readers to get together.

Here's a peek at what's already on the calendar for the next few months:

🎉 September 18–19 — Grand Opening Weekend
🌙 October 26 — ACOTAR Midnight Release Party
📖 November 5 — Book Journaling Workshop - More info to come!
🎄 November 8 — Christmas Open House

And this is just the beginning. 💛

📖 Did you know?

Did you know there's a little extra meaning behind our Grand Opening date? 👀❤️

When we announced that The Readery would officially open its doors on September 18, you may have just thought, "Yay! Bookstore!" 😂📚

But there's actually another reason that date is pretty special to me...

September 18 is my wedding anniversary. ❤️

This year, my husband Michael and I will celebrate 16 years of marriage — and we'll be celebrating by opening the doors to The Readery's permanent home.

Which honestly feels pretty fitting, because Michael has been a HUGE part of making this bookstore happen.

From demolition, to building bookshelves and cabinets, to working in 110-degree heat, to helping move approximately eleventy-billion books and boxes 😂📦, to putting up with late nights and my never-ending list of "Okay, but what if we did THIS?"...

He's been there through all of it.

What started as me saying, "I think I want to start a little book mobile..." somehow turned into a trailer, and now a permanent bookstore. 😂📚🏡

And he has supported me through every crazy step.

So while September 18 will be a huge milestone for The Readery, it's also going to be a pretty special anniversary for us.

16 years married.
One brand-new bookstore.
And a whole new chapter ahead. ❤️📖

I can't think of a better way to celebrate either one.

Had time last week so I updated all The Readery things to reflect my new full time hours after the grand opening and had two excited book shoppers wander in the store today 🥰
The store isn’t super messy inside- it looks great besides some books stacks - but the outside is a wreck at the moment 🤪
The parking lot is getting a facelift and hopefully will be finished next week.
I’ve updated Google to reflect we are temporarily closed ❤️
I’m glad so many people can’t wait to shop a physical bookstore again!

We're officially in move-the-books-into-the-new-store mode, and let's just say... we have A LOT of books to move. 😂
