Today, we do more than pause to remember, we carry the weight of what this day means, what it has meant for the last 25 years. We will always cherish the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We can honor those heroes who ran toward danger by supporting our local heroes even today. We stand with the families whose lives were forever changed by refusing to ever forget their loss and firmly acknowledging that very bad people committed an act of terrorism and declared war on every American when they hijacked those airplanes.

Though the World Trade Center stood far from horse country, the impact of that day was felt in every community across the USA. From our nation’s largest cities to its smallest rural towns, we mourned together, and found strength in one another.

We remain deeply grateful for the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans whose courage and selflessness revealed the strength of our nation. It gives us great hope to believe that spirit still exists in millions of our fellow citizens from coast to coast.

We will never forget. We are still here. Drive on. May God bless the USA and may he lift up the brokenhearted.

37th Annual Casey Tibbs Foundation Tribute Dinner Honorees Announced

FORT PIERRE, S.D. — The Casey Tibbs Foundation is pleased to announce the honorees for the 37th Annual Casey Tibbs Foundation Tribute Dinner, to be held Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center in Fort Pierre.

Each year, the Casey Tibbs Foundation pays tribute to individuals, families, and animal athletes who have made meaningful contributions to the sport of rodeo and its legacy in South Dakota. Honorees are nominated in six categories based on established criteria and selected through a formal selection process.

The 2026 Casey Tibbs Foundation Tribute Dinner honorees are:

Rodeo Cowgirl Great: Sawyer Gilbert
Rodeo Cowboy Great: Delbert “Shorty” Garrett
Rodeo Promoter: Loretta Cowan
Ranch Cowboy Family: The William “Bud,” Al, Robert “Bob,” and Steve Kary Family
Rodeo Animal Athlete: TR Dashing Badger “Dolly,” owned by Harry Thomas

The Tribute Dinner serves as an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of each honoree while helping preserve their stories for future generations. Honoree photographs and biographies will be added to the permanent Wall of Fame at the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center.

Advance tickets are required for the 37th Annual Tribute Dinner. Ticket sales will open Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. CST. Tickets may be purchased by phone or in person at the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center in Fort Pierre. A limited number of tickets will be available, and previous Tribute Dinners have sold out quickly.

The Casey Tibbs Foundation will also accept nominations through May 2027 for honorees to be considered for the 38th Annual Tribute Dinner.

Congratulations to Iconoclast Team Member Phillip Ralls Performance Horses on an outstanding performance aboard Call Me A Cool Cat!

Philip and “Cal” delivered in every phase, scoring a 223 in the herd work, 220 in the rein work and 221.5 down the fence for a 664.5 composite. Their exceptional showing earned the 2026 Ronnie Richards World’s Richest Championship, the Intermediate Open Championship and reserve finishes in both the Open Bridle and Run For A Million Qualifier.

We’re proud to have Philip as part of the Iconoclast team and congratulate everyone behind this great accomplishment!
