UPDATE

Xcel has restored power and the gate is up and running. Please be mindful this is subject to change at any time due to wind and fire conditions. Feel free to call or text me at 806-468-8308 if you would like to check on the current status. Please continue to lift our neighbors affected by the fires up in prayer as well as our emergency responders. They are working tirelessly to keep the Panhandle safe.

Due to the wildfire rapidly approaching Bishop Estates Xcel has turned off the power in our area and TXDOT is currently closing the Loop 335 access road to storage. The gate will remain closed until an all clear is given and power is restored. Thank you for your patience and prayers for everyone in the line of the fires and all of our first responders.

As of 11 AM Saturday power has been restored. We are not aware of anymore rolling outages at this time so the gate is currently operational. Please keep in mind that this is subject to change due fire and wind conditions. Xcel makes these decisions for the safety of our community. We completely recognize it can be an inconvenience to our customers and we will due all we can to keep you updated.

Due to the current wildfire affecting our area Amarillo Xcel Energy is cycling our power on and off without notice. We fully acknowledge this is an inconvenience for all of us but please be advised the gate as of now will not be operational until Sunday morning. If there are any updates or changes we will update here immediately. We value providing exceptional customer service but we are at the mercy of the winds and Xcel Energy. Please join us in prayer for those affected and pray for some rain. Huge shoutout to all of our firefighters and lineman out on the frontlines protecting our community.

Xcel Energy says they are preparing for strong winds in Amarillo on Feb. 17-19th which may cause power outages and increase wildfire risk. Xcel is looking at possibly conducting a Public Safety Power Shutoff to reduce risk! We have been notified Absolute Storage could be affected by the rolling outages. Please keep that in mind in the days ahead if you are needing to access the storage facility. Everyone please stay safe and weather aware.

*IMPORTANT NOTICE*

With the incoming weather forecasted please make sure to pick up anything you may need from Absolute Storage by noon on Friday, January 23rd. This could include items like generators, lanterns, extra blankets or your RV if you are wanting it prior to Monday. Ice will freeze to the gate and its components and will have to be turned off to keep anything from breaking. Please note that after the weather conditions have worsened access to the facility will be unavailable. Everyone stay safe and stay warm.

*******XCEL POWER OUTAGES*****
Due to the high winds and fire danger expected on Friday and Saturday XCEL has notified us that we will be subject to long term rolling blackouts. I know a lot of you are returning from your spring break adventures. Please know that during power outages you will be unable to access Absolute Storage. Absolute Storage Gate to be closed 10/24/24

TXDOT and Webber Construction have been extremely difficult and inconsiderate throughout the construction process in front of Absolute Storage. We have done our best to advocate for our business and our customers. With only 48 hours notice they have informed us that the Loop 335 access road will be closed on October 24th for them to lay asphalt. Please make sure if you are needing anything out of storage that you pick it up by tomorrow October 23rd prior to them closing the road on the 24th. They claim the road will only be closed for one day but past experience has taught me that they lie continuously and never complete jobs on time. My fear is we will not have access Friday either. I am praying this does not impact any of your weekend plans and sincerely apologize in advance.
