A strong line of storms blew through the area on Sunday evening, damaging numerous homes and vehicles. Crews are working diligently to restore power and reopen affected roads.

Mark your calendars... The Big Boy is coming!

The world's largest operating steam locomotive has been touring the country as part of the America 250 celebration. It spent the last couple months touring the western states, and now it is in the midst of its eastern leg.

The photos in this post were taken the last couple days as the train passed through Ohio and into the Erie area. It's heading to Buffalo, Scranton, Philadelphia and Altoona in the coming weeks.

On the evening of July 11, it's scheduled to make a brief stop in Leetsdale before spending the night in the Conway Yard. It will continue through Beaver County the following morning as it makes its way back west.

Plan ahead and expect large crowds at spots where it will be visible!

14th street is closed for Soap Box Derby today, but we are OPEN. You’ll have to park on Merchant or another side road. Luckily Ambridge is a pretty walkable town!

Congratulations to our brand new Ambridge Area High School Class of 2026 graduates! Our new grads enjoyed a beautiful evening of weather for their commencement exercises at Moe Rubenstein Stadium!
