When you’re scrolling Facebook and thinking about grabbing some fresh flowers, which makes you MORE likely to buy?

🌼 A: Seeing pictures of arrangements that are already made + available.
💐 B: Seeing a post that says “I have fresh flowers available!” and reaching out for some.
👀 C: Honestly… I need to SEE them first or I forget how bad I need them 😂

I’m curious how you guys shop because I’m currently swimming in blooms over here and trying to figure out the best way to get them into your houses instead of my compost pile. 🤣

I could sit and stare at them all day but I would much rather you get to enjoy them!

Fresh Flower Friday 🌻

The joy I get from walking through the gardens with my snips never gets old. I never head out with a recipe. I just see what’s blooming, what colors are vibing, and let the flowers decide. I think that’s my favorite part. While I pick and choose and plot and plan what flowers to grow, seeing them all come together still feels like magic.

Fair warning: we’re entering full Blume season. Which means your feed is about to become aggressively floral. If you need a bouquet (or just an excuse to brighten someone’s day), you know where to find me. 😉

Everyone stay calm. Just kidding. I can’t stay calm. I’m so excited!! My Lisianthus are actually blooming!!!! This was a huge test for me! I bought these plugs from a dear friend who had babied them for months before I received them. Lisianthus have a loooonnnnggggg grow time. And they tend to be a little temperamental. But I kept them happy! And they are here!!! And I’m just so proud of them! Only 2 varieties saying hello currently, but the rest are well on their way. Look at the ruffles in the white. Like a Rose, but fancier. Ugh. I just love them!! Stay tuned for when they really get going so you can snag some before they are gone. 😍

I whole heartedly disagree!!!
Just Look at these beauties!!!

Every year I grab a bag or two of corms just to trial new varieties.. and every year they surprise me a little more!

They have officially earned a permanent spot in the gardens.

Somewhere along the way, gladiolus got labeled as “funeral flowers,” and I think that’s a super shame.

Because when they start blooming, they’re absolute show-offs. Every stem stops me in my tracks and takes my breath away!!

It’s been fun trying to incorporate them into my not so tall arrangements, but I think they speak for themselves!

Whether you’ve been following this crazy flower adventure from the beginning or you’re brand new around here, I’m so very happy you found your way to this little corner of Facebook. With so many new faces joining us lately, I thought it was finally time for a proper introduction and a little Cliff Notes version of what Funky Fresh is all about!

Hi! I’m Krista! 👋
I’m the owner, grower, designer, marketer, delivery driver, professional w**d puller, bucket scrubber, and wearer of about 47 other hats here at Funky Fresh Blume Co! If you’ve ever wondered who’s behind the flowers…it’s me! 😊

Around here, you’ll find flowers grown with a whole lot of love, behind-the-scenes chaos, wedding magic, gardening wins (and plenty of fails 🤣), flower tips, and probably a few stories about deer and bugs trying to eat all my hard work.

But at the heart of it all, my favorite part is creating flowers for your special moments.

Whether you’re planning your dream wedding, surprising someone “just because,” honoring a loved one, treating yourself to a flower subscription, hosting a bloom bar, or celebrating one of life’s many milestones, I’d be honored to create something beautiful for you.

One of my favorite deliveries this week wasn’t for the person who ordered it.

It was for her mom. 💜

Her daughter lives out of state, so she signed her up for a Funky Fresh flower subscription. Every month, I get to show up with whatever is blooming in the garden that week and say, “These are from your daughter.”

And every single time, without fail, her mom sends me the sweetest text telling me how beautiful they are and how much she loves them. ❤️

I don’t think she has any idea how much I love making those deliveries.

Life gets busy. Families move away. You can’t always stop over for dinner or drop by with flowers just because.

But you can remind someone they’re loved.

Honestly, I think subscriptions are one of the sweetest gifts you can give. They’re not a one-time bouquet that gets forgotten after a birthday. They’re a little reminder, month after month, that someone is thinking about you.
