Did You Know? Today is Flag Day!

On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress adopted the first official American flag, making today a celebration of one of our nation's most recognizable symbols.

A few fun facts:

🏭 Cincinnati is home to The National Flag Company, one of America's oldest flag manufacturers, founded in 1869.

⭐ The American flag has been updated 27 times as new states joined the Union.

⭐ The current 50-star flag was designed in 1958 by a 17-year-old high school student as a class project.

⭐ Each star represents a state, and each stripe represents one of the original 13 colonies.

⭐ Flag Day became an official national observance in 1916 and was established by Congress in 1949.

Whether you're displaying a flag at home, attending a community event, or simply taking a moment to reflect on our shared history, Flag Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the freedoms and traditions that unite us.
