Saturday June 13 short hours of 9am-noon Sunday 11am- 3pm.
We have a full line of Maple products and many gift and foods items in the Z-Orchard store! The bees are busy collecting nectar and making honey. We will have the first honey for 2026 in the store Friday July 3rd in limited supply.
The reel attached today shows the difference between Honey bees and Carpenter bees. Both are prolific pollinators and needed in today’s environment. If you look on line they blame carpenter bees for woods damage on houses, I or other friends and carpenters have never witnessed that damage. The carpenter bees live in solitude so please don’t destroy them or the honey bees!

Z-Orchard Top Bar hive series: The bees started early April from a 3 pound box of Golden West bees. As of May 20th they are at 8 bars of comb made and mostly filled with Brood ( baby bees) and some honey. With a top bar hive they builds a self supported comb. This video shows locating the queen.

Z-Orchard Store Memorial weekend hours:
Sunday and Monday 10 am - 4 pm.

Support Camp Wapo, Ox Lake & Wilderness Canoe Base with their Pancake Extravaganza Memorial Day morning! Then Stop at Z-Orchard to stock up on Maple supplies. You are welcome to go for a walk through the Maple sugarbush, you may see the Sandhill crane family!
Also take some time to honor the fallen veterans.

Full bloom of the dadelions means honey bee swarm season begins! I caught the first swarm of the season at Z-Orchard Amery, WI. FRESH HONEY SHOULD BE AVAILABLE ABOUT July 4th!
