Hi Bookish Friends!

***Caution Long-ish Post Ahead. Some of you already know that I have had to make the difficult decision to close my micro bookstore at the Clear Lake Community Center. Since life has thrown me some curve balls this year, instead of quitting I decided to just Pivot! No I'm not dying and yes it could be worse but it is frustrating knowing that some days I can be just fine one minute and the next be thrust into a world of dizziness, severe fatigue and unable to drive myself anywhere. Vestibular migraines, Meniere's disease and unrelenting tinnitus are no joke. This and a few other things have made it almost impossible to maintain a presence at the store. With that said, I do have a spot at the Wandering Willow Boutique in Osceola and another spot coming soon to the Bargain City Vendor Market in Rice Lake (and a small book section at Kate's Coffee Koop). If anyone else struggles with those things I mentioned, I'd love to chat if you have any tips for things that help! Thank you all for your support and understanding. You truly have all been so nice!

I had to make the tough decision to cancel this event. Summertime is busy and sometimes important family time is made with short notice and that’s ok. Family comes first in our world 😉 Have fun, read a book and have the best summer ever!

My coffee cup this morning is kind of symbolic of the last couple of weeks (seems like longer). A swirl of emotions, projects, challenges and life events in a short amount of time. And now that it's calmed down, I would like to thank you all for being patient with our little micro-bookstore. Since this is our side-gig, we still have jobs and other things that we need to be present for and don't always have time to be at the store. With that said, we do have some events throughout the summer we hope you'll enjoy. In June there is the Artisan Makers Market hosted by Kate's Coffee Koop featuring local creators and Jr Koopie entrepreneurs. Stay tuned for more events!
