🌸 Your plants are telling you they need nutrients before they TELL you the NEEDED them and now it’s a lot of work. If you know what to watch for, it can help you remedy the problem before it’s too much work.

After a trip away with the fam, this bed is telling me it needs some nutrients NOW, so that’s what we’ll do and hopefully make them happy again!

🌱 Shade does not have to be boring!!! That is my mission I’m out to prove for the 2026 growing season because it’s one of the biggest comments I get from people when it comes to challenges.

DEEP shade can limit you more, but if you get some morning sun or dappled amounts, it opens a whole window to more possibilities!

This one has become a favorite space for me in the part shade category and could easily be done in a container also.

🌱 We’re just getting started on these. There will be more good ones on the way!!

🌸 When I say pay attention to your plants and they’ll tell you what they need, it only works if you know what to look for! On the watering front, here is how you can tell your plant is on the verge of a fit if you don’t give it water soon without even looking at the soil.

🌸 This is such a fun planter for you texture lovers out there!

When I stopped the video, I promptly found a diamond snow euphorbia for MORE texture. Hopefully we have time for it to fill out and look even better!

Sunday Confession…

I’m always chasing the next goalpost.

Hit one… move it.
Reach it… raise it.

And somewhere in that rhythm, I forget to stop and realize….

This moment?
This used to be the prayer.

The thing I asked God for.
Trusted Him for.
Hoped would come ā€œsomeday.ā€

And now I’m here…
already looking past it.

Do you do that too?

I wonder how many moments I’ve rushed through—
moments that were actually answers.
Little reminders of His faithfulness.
Proof that He’s been working all along.

So this is me slowing down.

Taking a breath.
Looking back.

Because I found some old photos and videos… and I just sat there for a minute.

And thought—
wow… God really brought me here.

Not overnight.
Not perfectly.
But step by step… He made a way.

So if you feel like you’ve been in the middle of something for a long time

Pause.

Look again.

You might be standing in a prayer God already answered.

🌸 Trim time! You absolutely don’t to have to trim. In our large planters at the office I only trim when they are too long and several I don’t trim at all.

With these deck rails, they need to fit in the space for a couple more months, so this is the perfect time in the season for a little snip, and here’s how easy it is…..and a few tips on how she cares for these deck rail planters and keeps them BEAUTIFUL!

We’ll check back on these in a couple weeks!

I promise to keep these shorter in the future. Today’s just hit a little different for me….so I’m sharing….because maybe I’m not the only one in a swirl of relying on myself instead of exercising a little surrender and trust.

Happy Wednesday!

🌸 Remember when you’re rooting a plant as a cutting, it’s going to take time for that plant to grow. There’s a lot of energy and work going on. It’s just all under the soil, develop that root system to support the plant. We’ll check in in another few weeks and see how they are progressing!

🌱Sun to shade can be deceiving on the tag of a plant. Just because it will live there doesn’t mean the performance will be the same. The size and color of the plant could be completely different depending on where they are.

Coleus is a plant that has many varieties reading sun to shade on their tags. Let’s break down my favorite variety and how it performs differently depending on the light situation it’s in!
