Construction can be loud, and we understand that not everyone is comfortable with those big bangs. We have a limited number of sensory headphones available in store for you to use while you browse. You can always bring your own headphones if you or someone in your group is sensitive to sound. Construction is often finished by 4 PM each day if you'd also prefer to delay your visit.

Thank you for your support while we build out our space for more books and more fun!

Shannon Chakraborty knocked it out of the park with the first Amina al-Sirafi book, so it was with apprehension that I began reading "The Tapestry of Fate", hoping against hope that it would be as amazing as the first. Because of course Shannon would deliver an awesome, swashbuckling adventure. When Amina and her crew are sent to destroy another transgression, a magic spindle with the power to change the very threads of fate itself and the witch who controls it, things go more than a little awry, leaving Amina wondering if she'll ever make it home again.

Something Mariah loves about Chakraborty's writing is how it is always page-turning and funny while also exploring deeper themes. Throughout "Tapestry" the reader is made to examine and critique (along with Amina herself) the power of story and how women specifically suffer in the retelling. What is truth? Who can you really trust? And, ultimately, what happens to history when only one side controls the narrative? Just as excellent as the first, Mariah can't wait to gush about this book with whomever reads it.

Our WALK (Walk and Listen with KatieandAmy) Audiobook Club was featured in the Ames Voice. Check out the article by visiting the link. https://amesvoice.com/2026/07/28/exercising-while-reading/

What is an audiobook walking club, you ask? It's a group of awesome people who listen to audiobooks and walk around together. This club does not require that you listen to a particular book--in fact, even if you wanted to , there isn't one! Just lace up your walking shoes, grab your favorite pair of headphones, and come join Katie, Amy, and their group of magnificent mall-walkers the first Tuesday of the month at 7 AM.

This book club is free to anyone who wishes to participate, no registration necessary.
