Inspired by our tea and culinary blends, we make the dough from scratch in a big batch and then bake them fresh every morning.

Gatherer spice is a delish blend that’s amazing on most anything you would forage. A companion of Hunter Spice, you can find both culinary blends online or in our downtown Ames, Iowa shop.

New savory scones! Our gatherer culinary blend is a delicious mixture of smoked paprika, thyme, nutritional yeast and more. We mixed it into the batter with a sharpe cheddar and baked them up fresh each morning.

Want to try baking (or cooking) with Gatherer yourself? Get it in our Main Street shop or online year round. Paired with Hunter spice it covers about 60% of my culinary needs at home. The other 40% is herbs de Provence and curry!

Teamisu for here or to go. So excited for these forest friendly options!

Our new fall flavor is now out: layers of chocolate ganache, marscapone whipping cream, hojicha tea soaked lady fingers.

Curious about hojicha? It’s a roasted green tea from Japan that is brewed loose leaf style or ground and enjoyed like matcha. You can get both types in our shop on Mainstreet in Ames, Iowa or our online shop.

Running a business is often a lot of running. Today was a treat. A rainy day, a matcha, and some book keeping on a nice cozy morning. Honestly, tasks like these are not my favorite and this cozy approach turns it from a treat to a chore. Stop by and experience the cozy vibes on these rainy fall days.
