Of every Mustang on this list, the Terminator is the one we’d take.

The 2003 and 2004 Terminator ran a supercharged 4.6L DOHC V8, rated at 390 horsepower and offered with a six-speed manual only. Shelby got to a supercharged Mustang first with a Paxton blower on the 1966 GT350, but that one was a dealer-installed option and only 11 cars ever got it. The Terminator was the first supercharged Mustang you could walk into a dealership and actually buy.

SVT also gave it an independent rear suspension while the GT parked next to it on the same showroom floor was still riding on a live axle. Same generation, same nameplate, two completely different cars underneath.

At just 13 years old, in 1966, Ted Wells heard the sound of hydraulics for the first time — and it changed his life.

By the early 1970s, Ted was building hydraulic systems by hand, long before mail-order kits or specialized lowrider shops existed. He worked with modified aircraft hydraulic components, fabrication tools, and pure mechanical ingenuity.

Ted became one of the founders of Professionals Car Club of Southside California, where he developed his skills and became one of the respected authorities in lowrider hydraulics.

His legendary 1962 Chevrolet Impala “Super Deuce” became a showcase of his craftsmanship, featuring a custom interior, chrome engine and undercarriage, and a professional hydraulic setup built by Ted himself.

But his influence went beyond his own car. In 1977, Ted helped bring Otto's Hydraulics to Phoenix, helping introduce professional lowrider hydraulic service to a growing Arizona scene.

Ted Wells didn't just build hydraulics.

He helped build the culture around them. ⚡️🔧🚘
