TWO DAYS! I can’t believe it…..
Here’s a little bio for what I’ve been pouring my heart into these last few months.
Rolling Racks : A NEW local thrift shop with a storefront in Anchorage, Alaska
2601 Spenard Rd #3
RR will be open weekends, with a soft launch THIS Saturday May 30th from 11am-5pm and a GRAND OPENING Sunday May 31st, as a part of the Spenard ‘Girls Night Out’ event from 11am-5pm.
The goal of RR is to be a more community-focused alternative to big box thrift stores. With Rolling Racks, your purchases are going toward something more intentional and local.
Here’s how it works:
• I source inventory through a mix of donations, direct buys, and curated pieces I personally procure.
• Donated items are resold in-store to give them a second life
• A portion of proceeds from donated items goes to a rotating local nonprofit
• Anything that is donated and does not sell, will be given to places for those who need it like Covenant House, AWAIC, etc.
I’m a registered small business (not a nonprofit), but giving back and reducing waste is a huge part of what I do. A percentage of proceeds from donated items go back to community focused, local nonprofits. This is so I can keep the prices down and allow my store to be a place where all can shop and find something on any budget.
Thanks for being here, following along, sharing posts…. It really does take a village and I’m here for this one 🙌🏽
