⏰ Today is the day! Have you RSVP'ed for the opening of the Ngíisdla Garden yet?
🌿Join us in celebrating the grand opening of the remodeled Ngíisdla Garden at the Alaska Native Heritage Center! In the Xaad Kíl language, Ngíisdla means “to heal, recover, and get well again.” Over time this space will house ten monuments that will hold important monuments built to reflect the lives and history of Alaska Native people.
Our celebration will include words of welcome, the reinstallation of the Boarding School Healing Monument, a dance performance, gift giving, a viewing of the “How We Rise” film, and a community potluck.
