Just a quick update today!

We'll be CLOSED Thursday and Friday this week in order to manage some life things that our crew is dealing with! Time off, recovering from being sick, appointments for kids... you get it. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility.

As always our dropbox is still available and gets your quilts in our queue right away instead of waiting!

NEW Cuddle Pre-Order Option!

We LOVE using Cuddle at Doodle! We have some in stock options BUT we decided that there are just too many great options and you need access to them all! As you know, we have limited space in the studio and cannot stock every option in the space we have.

What we can offer is a pre-order like set up where you can still have access to all the items - it just might take a little longer to get them in your hands. I do have to place minimum orders, so these will be ordered in batches once we have enough orders to fill. I recommend grabbing a few at time if you know what you want - they'll come faster that way since I'll have a minimum order amount before the order goes in.

Please feel free to reach out if you have questions - we'll keep you posted on order dates and estimated arrivals as batches go in. This first round will have a cut off date of October 16th. The idea with this order is to make sure we have everything you all might want for your holiday quilts. SO, this first one is especially important if you want it for the holidays!

Well the time is has arrived..

We have our 2026 Holiday Deadline sorted out for you! Mark your calendars so that you can be sure to have your Gift quilts into the studio in time for the holidays!

A few other notes to keep in mind concerning our holiday cut-off dates and early January turn around times.

We will be CLOSED and out of the Studio from 12/24/26 through 01/05/27. That means that if you have quilting turn-around needs for early January, you will want to get your quilts in by our Holiday deadline. Once we're back it could be between 1-2 weeks to get your quilt back depending where you ended up in our queue.

As always, if you have your quilt tops finished up and ready for quilting now, BRING THEM IN! We are currently still working with a 4-5 week turn around. With a lot more of you choosing to take advantage of our finishing services, we have bumped out to 4 weeks on our minimum turn around.

If you have gift giving deadlines, please let us know when you drop off - we will do our best to accommodate if we can. Anything outside our minimum turn around is subject to a rush fee if you want a guaranteed return date. This is now a $50 minimum fee, plus a design tier up charge. Feel free to ask us about figuring this out if you need it for your quilt.

We DO NOT accept Rush deadlines in October, November or December due to the typical holiday rush.

We are looking forward to helping you all with your handmade holiday projects! It is always so fun to see what you all are creating for your loved ones!

So Quilters.. what did you do this weekend?!! I finally got back to my sewing machine and whipped up this super fun from Quilts, Patterns, Tutorials using the new from carolynfriedlander! Can’t wait to quilt this one with one of Carolyn’s digital designs!

Happy September!

I think it is safe to say it's Fall! Honestly, I love this time of year! I can pull out all the extra quilts around my house and snuggle up on the couch with some hand sewing or a good book!

We're getting into the swing of the new school year at my house - all three of my kids are in high school now! It's a little crazy to realize that I have kids this age already!

Along with a new school year, we're gearing up for your Holiday quilting needs! We know a few of you have asked about our deadline and I promise we'll get that info out soon! Stay tuned!

Fall Hours at Doodle

While we are getting into the groove of Fall we will be keeping our hours at 11 am to 3pm for now. Monday is still our workday - this allows us to all be there and catch up on things. We often use Monday to tackle quilt finishing work. But, keep reading for how to make an appointment if you need help outside our normal hours.

Need an Appointment?

In order to help accommodate our clients that cannot make it into the studio during our normal hours, we want to let you know about Appointment availability.

We have an appointment scheduling module on our DQS Shop website - you can check it out by clicking the button below.

What times are available for Appointments?

Appointments will be available Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

A few notes on booking appointments:

- You DO NOT need an appointment to come into the Studio during our normal hours (M-F 11am to 3pm).

- Online appointment booking is ONLY available with 1 day notice. For example, if it is Monday night I will only be able to book an appointment for Wednesday online.

- You may call or text us (907.764.4086) to see if we can accommodate a same day after hours appointment.

- Yes, we do have appointments listed Monday - Friday until 6pm, however, this does not guarantee that the day or time slot will be available. You will get notice of your appointment being accepted or declined, so please keep that in mind when you book online.

Our hope is to offer this in order to accommodate all of our clients, but please remember that Enjoli has a busy family to also take care of. This is her way of compromising and trying to be a little more available!

Want to use our Dropbox?

We still have our Dropbox for those that would like to use it. It is conveniently located in our entryway for you to access outside our hours but when the building is open.

There are forms and bags in the box for you to place your quilt into - please make sure everything is filled out with your information. And please let us know you have left a quilt by scanning the QR code and filling out the dropbox form. Again, this is just one way that we hope to make our services accessible to everyone!

PLUS... if you use the dropbox you still get $10 OFF your invoice! :)

Quilting Turn Around Time Update

There was a time in Doodle history where I would not have believed that we could keep 5 longarm machines running 5 days a week BUT here we are!

We are working just as fast as we can to keep up with our 3-4 week turn around time. However, August was a busy intake month for us and we're now seeing the effects in our turn around time.

Please be patient with us as we work through the queue - we are working closer to the 4 week dates right now.

We know how exciting it is to get your quilt back from us, but please keep in mind that if you have not received notice from us (via email, text or phone call) that your quilt is done, then we are very likely still working on it.

We do our best to give you an estimated date range for finishing your quilt at drop off, so please keep that in mind before you call the check up on your quilt.

Thank you for making it all the way down here! I know these emails usually have a lot of information in them, hopefully not always new! :P

We are looking forward to seeing all of your Holiday Quilting projects come into the studio in the next few months. Stay tuned for our Holiday deadline information coming very soon!

We are rapidly approaching 5 years in our current studio space - every time I walk through the doors I am so thankful to each and every one of you that make this dream of mine possible by trusting us with your beautiful quilts!

P.S: I seem to always forget something... but we just got a select few 2 yard specialty minky cuts into the studio. These are 60" x 72" and are all the textured luxe cuddle! They are SO soft! If you all like these, we'll bring in more, but for now this is what we have!

Hey Quilters!

Effective August 1st, 2026 the Studio will have updated hours!

August is a crazy month for Enjoli and trying to balance family and work is a bit of a juggling act. SO, below are our updated hours for August. And as life goes, this might change a bit before the month is over, but we're just gonna roll with it!

We appreciate your flexibility!

Please remember that if you need to drop off or pick up outside of our regular hours our dropbox is available. If you need extra help or want to set up an appointment outside our normal house please send us an email at [email protected]. We will do our best to accommodate these requests but for the next month cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet all requests.

I have many feelings about this weekend.. honestly, I’ve never been overly patriotic but I do think that part of caring for your country is wanting to change it for the better.

Right now I don’t live in a country I feel proud of. I’m disappointed when I see the news and see what our government does to not just Americans but other counties. I wonder all the time how I as one person can make changes to our country. I wish I had a step by step answer.. but I don’t.

What I can do is continue to speak up and speak out about the things I care about, things I want to see change and take action in the ways I can to help implement those changes. And above all else.. my space, my shop, my studio, my business, my house and my person will ALWAYS be a safe space for those the world marginalizes. And I WILL NOT be quiet.
