Man oh man it’s hard to believe we are already into September.

Rye last day of August was 2 days ago and there was a little snow creeping down the mountains. (I said I would wait until September to start talking snow and ice fishing, so that’s coming up next)

Ship Creek has slowed down tremendously. We’re talking not seeing anglers and no more Chrome.

The pinks are even having a hard time swimming right now as zombies. The seagulls are relentless on them.

Campbell Creek and the drainages along the arm have been pretty productive for Coho the past couple of weeks.

Even though Ship Creek is a little quiet right now it’s still full of life.

Plenty of seals working the water. All the way of to the dam. Juvenile Bald Eagle and an adult Bald Eagle have been having around. It’s been pretty cool to watch them in action.

We hope everyone had a great summer down on the creek.

We are transitioning to some fall fishing and getting prepared for the HardWater🕳️🎣. We’re pretty pumped and excited. Working on some things and will be excited to share with everyone shortly.

More to come on wither fishing. Stay tuned. Until then we still have plenty of time left to chase some bows and find some metal.

🎉 Help us wish a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Leo! 🎂

Leo was a late addition to on the creek this summer, but he quickly became an integral part of the crew!

We’re so glad to have had him join us for the season and hope his birthday is as Groovy as he is.

One thing that I have always loved about being on the creek and in the Shack, you never know who may show up. Leo got to meet one of his favorite actors. Angus Sampson who played Cisco in The Lincoln Lawyer was down checking out the fish action this summer.

Wow!! Hard to believe the start of the 2026 school year is quickly approaching.

As is typical this time is year, the weather changes, coho fishing in Ship Creek slows down, trees start to change and the youngsters head back to school.

With everything happening above we will be moving our hours a little bit to accommodate.

Starting 8-18-26 (Tuesday) we will move to some Fall Shack Hours for the next couple of weeks.
