May 15-July 13: 6am-11pm
July 14: 24-hr fishing begins

Tom is also leading with most weight checked at 34.50 lbs, two fish.

Throwing one of her favorite size 5’s, she connected.

After fighting the fish and letting the adrenalin settle, she measured her King at 26inches.

Brandon said one more cast! We as anglers know exactly what that means.

Tide was dropping fast on the outgoing tide. Water was looking a little muddy, but that didn’t stop him with his last cast.

Chucked out his spinner and bam!! This egg wagon smoked it. Weighing just shy of 23lbs and measuring 39 inches.

I guess it really does pays off to have one last cast.

This year for the derby we will be adding a cash prize of $200 for the angler that checks in the most weight. That’s right you can check up to 5 fish and if you got the most accumulated weight you are going to walk away with some cash!!

A pocket full of 12lbers landed on the creek today. Both during the morning and evening tide. Spinners seemed to be pretty consistent today.

Saw one Chromer pushing 20lbs landed this morning on bait. Early tide had some quick, fast action. Then died off.

A few nice fish broke off and the anglers got a pretty good fight for a brief moment. The fish were hot. Pulling drag and screaming up stream.

Let’s hope the fish continue to improve grow a little for the derby.

Congrats to all that anglers that were out in the water bending rods today👊
