Otters have long been a favorite of mine. Their graceful moves in the water, and playful nature have always had my heart. Growing up I remember reading the Redwall books and always loving it when the otters were part of the stories! When I had someone reach out to commission an otter, I was pretty excited. I hope you love these guys as much as I do! This is just a small peek into the process of making each piece—and it’s the same for every design, not just the otters.

The otters are done! I think they’re super cute! The process that I use to make different animals always starts from a free handed sketch. I break it down into different layers that make sense to me and then cut out the wool. Sometimes this works great. Sometimes it needs a lot of adjusting. This time it worked perfectly.

Kid sewing camp is live! Kiddos 10 and up will learn the basics of hand sewing, some embroidery and how to use a sewing machine. No experience needed. All materials and machines will be provided(but if you have one you want to learn to use, let us know! ) We currently have 3 spots left! Attention all ladies who want to learn to sew…but it seems overwhelming. This is the class for you! We will be starting at the very beginning of sewing, both machine and hand stitching. All materials and machines will be provided…but if you have a sewing machine that was gifted to you and it’s just gathering dust…you can bring it!
