Today we’re cracking open the Hot Wheels RLC Honda S2000 Memorial Tribute Car, created in honor of Ryu Asada. 💛
For anyone who collects Hot Wheels, Ryu’s name probably means something to you. He was a huge part of the design team and left behind some really incredible cars, but what really stands out is the way people remember him- genuinely kind, positive, and someone who brought a lot of light wherever he went..
His own Honda S2000 was bright yellow and something he drove almost every day, so it feels pretty special that Hot Wheels chose to honor him with this 1:64 version.
The Spectraflame yellow, Real Riders, full metal chassis, black interior and authentic logos give this one that RLC feel we all love. But honestly, it’s the story behind it that makes this one different. The specially designed packaging features an illustration of Ryu, and each car is individually numbered out of 30,000.
This one is more than just another car for the shelf- It’s a little piece of Hot Wheels history and a way to keep the memory alive of someone who made a lasting impact on the hobby. 💛
