A bucket or two of dahlias are harvested daily. Plus the sneezeweed is coming into bloom. And the cooler is full of sunflowers, zinnias, strawflower, marigolds, and so much more! Looking forward to bouquet-making on Friday! It’s going to be a rainbow of color at the flower stand on Saturday!

What a beautiful day!! I was able to meet my granddaughter for the first time today after being sick with a head cold for over a week. She’s absolutely perfect! 🍑
With the heavy rain over the past two days the dahlia patch has exploded with blooms! And this is just the beginning!! It only gets better from here— the sunflowers, eucalyptus, lisianthus, and so much more to come!

Well, flower friends—- I’m still trying to get over this head cold I’ve had since last Friday and waiting for the arrival of my grandbaby anytime! I’m just desperately wanting to get better so I can meet her! I’ve also had an influx of special requests this week. With all that said, I won’t be able to have the flower stand this week.

🌸If you have a special order for tomorrow, Friday, or Saturday I am working on those and will let you know when they’re ready for pickup.

It’s been a busy and fun month of events!— A baby shower, a bucket of blooms for a 1st birthday, a celebration of life, and a Quinceañera!! It’s why I love what I do— not just the celebration itself, but who I’m doing it for. It’s been a week! The dahlias are slowly coming on one by one. You may have spotted one of these in your bouquet today. If you haven’t stopped by yet there’s still a good selection roadside until 9pm.

The dahlias really start bringing on the blooms in August! And more dahlias will be added to each bouquet as they do! The Bloom Bar will also have a wide variety to choose from!

I was going to close up at 3pm today for our bonus granddaughter’s 15th birthday, which is actually a rich cultural tradition and Hispanic celebration called quinceañera. However, Shawn and I are both sick— sneezing, couching, scratchy throat. So I was able to deliver the flowers today, but unfortunately, we weren’t able to attend. We also have a grandbaby arriving any day!

It has been an absolutely gorgeous day today!! Not particularly how I’d like to spend it, but it was necessary, and it was nice to be able to be outside— cleaning out the spring annual beds and one bed by the road. One of the cats who’ve claimed this as their home was waiting for me at the burn pile several times today. 🥰 How did you spend this beautiful day?
