Some might wonder. Why does cerakote cost so much? Others, why does it take 2 weeks to get my fi***rm cerakoted? Well there are answers to these. Cerakote is a very time consuming job if done correctly. There is disassembly, cleaning, curing, out gassing, media blasting. This is all before we even start prepping the cerakote and or stencils. Multi color jobs consist of the above plus mixing, then tacking out the color (15 minutes in the oven each color) before the next color or the next set of stencils. A multi stencil job can easily take 4 hours from start to finish not including the final 2 hour cure. Then there is the reassembly. This “The Jack” lower and Sig P365 Ryan did yesterday are prime examples of time consuming projects that if not done correctly will be ruined. This is on all accounts an art and patience is needed to have an amazing final project that you the consumer can call a show piece. Enjoy the pictures.
