Red Door Vintage & Thrift

Red Door Vintage & Thrift Creating modern and fashion forward outfits with vintage clothing! Shop. Donate. Repeat. In early 2009, The Christian Center's Mission Statement was revised.

Welcome to Red Door Vintage & Thrift, a young and stylish vintage shop dedicated to incorporating vintage pieces into your everyday wardrobe! Red Door fashion photography and product inventory show you how to take vintage pieces and make them modern, unique, and fresh. Shopping vintage is a fantastic way to maintain individuality, save money, and appreciate the past! You can shop at our location in Anderson on the Christian Center Campus or visit our more selective inventory in our online shop! Proceeds from Red Door also go to a phenomenal cause: The Christian Center of Anderson, IN! Money brought it from our vintage sales goes to the support of our men's shelter and ministry. "Offering a transformed life in Christ to the
Hungry, Hurting and Homeless." While the previous mission statement was valid, there was a realized need to focus on WHO is served before HOW they are served, and, more importantly—on the spiritual emphasis before the social aspects. As a faith based non-denominational, nonprofit organization, it is The Christian Center's intent to see that every soul being served becomes who God intends them to be…regardless of where they are in life now.

Homelessness is more than a statistic. It's a neighbor who deserves dignity, safety, and a path forward. World Homeless Day falls on October 10, and it's a good reminder that the need is close to home here in Anderson.

The Christian Center has served Madison County for more than 70 years, and we're still doing what we've always done: meeting people where they are.

Losing housing is rarely a single problem with a single fix. Someone may need a safe place to sleep, a hot meal, a case manager, and steady encouragement all at once, which is why our shelter, dining room, and recovery programs work together.

Men, women, and children all find support here, and rebuilding usually starts with a community that's willing to show up.

Whether you volunteer, give, or pass this post along to someone who needs us, you're part of that.

What do you want to know about homelessness, addiction, or mental health? On October 8 and 9, The Christian Center is hosting Conversations on a Bench, a 24-hour livestream built around honest, humanizing conversation.

We'll start at 3:00 p.m. Thursday and keep going for a full day, sitting with neighbors, pastors, and community members as they share their own stories.

You can watch from anywhere and drop a question in the live chat, or send one in ahead of time on our event page. You're also welcome to pull up a seat with us in person.

Ministries across North America are doing the same thing this week, so what happens on our bench in Anderson is part of something a lot bigger.

Assumptions tend to fall apart once someone tells you what they've been through. Submit your questions and tune in at conversationsonabenchindiana.org.

As of September 22nd, there are exactly 100 days left in 2026. That is 100 more days to make an impact, support our mission, and help the people and communities that count on us most.

As we head into this final stretch, here are a few ways you can help us finish 2026 strong:

✅Make a year-end gift to support our work through the final quarter and beyond. You can give at this link: https://givebutter.com/christian-center-match-sqttgl

✅Share our mission with someone in your network who might want to get involved.

Whether you have been with us from the beginning or have recently found your way to our community, our team wants you to know how much it means. What we have accomplished this year would not have been possible without you.

As always, if you’d like to connect or have any other questions, do not hesitate to reach out.

September is National Recovery Month, and we want to honor every person who has taken a courageous step toward a healthier life.

Our Eleos Center is often where that first step begins. It's a place where individuals can access showers, laundry, and essential referrals that help connect them to the treatment and support they need. Sometimes all it takes is one door opening to change the entire direction of a person's life.

If you know someone who is looking for a way forward, we're here. Share this post and help us spread hope to someone who needs it today. thechristiancenter.org/eleos-center.

Twenty-five years ago, the world changed, and the courage, resilience, and unity that followed reminded us of what we are capable of in our darkest moments.

On Patriot Day, we pause to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to pay tribute to the first responders, volunteers, and everyday individuals who showed extraordinary strength when it mattered most.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

September is Hunger Action Month, and hunger is something we think about every single day.

Our Community Dining Room serves hot meals daily to anyone in Anderson and Madison County who needs one. No requirements, no barriers. Just a warm plate and a welcoming space for every neighbor who walks through our doors.

If this resonates with you, we'd love for you to share this post and help us spread the word. The more people who know we're here, the more neighbors we can reach. Learn more at thechristiancenter.org/community-dining-room.
