UPDATE:
Our Orange Beach is on indefinite postponed. Economic unknowns, a family issue, we had companies that initially agreed with us, went through processes, paperwork, fees, deposits, then they all decided to pull the same time we had issues with the music distributor. We couldn't find a plot, and alot of HOA costs for everything.
I made some pitches and proposals, but dried up all at once. We will review in the Spring
Then, Funko ran into financial issues, our deliveries basically stopped and our sales dropped by 50%. We can no longer make a profit in the flea market. Also, we have no idea where our toy distributor is going. We have gotten 4 cases in 3 weeks.
With concerns of the economy, and other uncertain, uncertain about our distributors, we have no choice but get all our projects into one spot that we own and combine everything to streamline location.
Not even really for sure what all, but start simple.
Today, the title and deed has been signed and approved. Everything is almost complete. June 12th.
Our goal is to have an area where people can have the opportunity for their sales in an affordable environment. Where the ability will be there to get your start, grow it, or just passive income.
West First Music will be in a phase 2. It will be a scaled down version to begin. The seed spark is all 100% doable. Everything with West First Music is achievable and we already have all the developers to do it. But, that will probably be later and be a written document before we would a digital kiosk. But, we already have an attorney to draw up a Seed Spark certifications and can be done sooner.
Once things start to fit in, then we will see where to go and what capacity. Technically, the developer is Harbor Rhythm Enterprise LLC. They have final say as the developer. However, we make joint decisions.
That said, June will be our last month at the flea market. We have been there almost 12 years, but things starting to weigh on us. It May not seem like it lately, but we always liked it there and really dont want to leave but our sales are dwindling from lack of inventory and our $12 price. It literally costs us $11.33 per Funko and shipping. That leaves us .67 cents profit a Funko to pay all expenses.
So, im not going to reveal what all we are doing yet, but I will say, food truck, set up, parking, shop rental, and event space are all in the cards.
West First will be supplying the music, including local artists, and would have the opportunity to rent a stage at times. 1 or 2 private studios for now. Distrokid will be our distributor now. We probably will have a small main office with an artist wall to put your QR code and info for sales.
We r going to stay simple and start out small. We have ALOT of room. Everything we planned, we are gonna do, just had to shift gears. Right now, especially with other big projects postponed in Orange Beach, we need to condense it all up.
Unfortunately right now, it could change, but signs are pointing to a significant downturn later in the year. Im not a financial advisor and really dont know anything but indicators are indicators.
June 12th
Stay tuned.
