County Women started with a simple thought: there is so much love for the place we call home…what if we found more ways to pour that love back into it?
To care for our communities and the people in them. To appreciate and protect the rivers, land and beautiful places Mother Nature gave us. To support the people doing good things. To notice where we can help. To show up. To get our hands dirty. To share ideas, lend our voices and give our time when it matters.
There is something pretty powerful about women coming together with a shared love for where they live, work, raise their families and play.
We don’t all have to come from the same place, believe the same things or see everything through the same eyes. In fact, I hope we don’t. Different perspectives are part of what makes a community a community.
What matters is what we choose to do with the common ground we do share.
Care deeply. Be kind. Get involved. Leave things better than you found them.
Maybe along the way we light a little flame in someone else to get involved too. To volunteer. To ask questions. To share an idea. To help a neighbor. To protect something worth protecting. Or simply to realize that making a difference in your community doesn’t always have to be some big, grand thing.
Sometimes it starts with a group of women who love where they live and decide to do something good with that love.
That’s County Women. 🖤
