My son Blake Williams, 8 years ago, before joining FULL CIRCLE. Full Circle is a great live band, specializing in 90s rock, as well as digging into some classic rock covers. Check your local venues for future events.

People don't realize how much time it takes to operate an independent music store. Not just when the doors are open. Research. Mornings, when I'm having coffee. Evenings. Sundays. It's usually a combination of sitting at the desktop computer while drawing, and having an old school set of headphones within reach.
Unlike the chain stores, the record & CD racks don't stock themselves. I like to keep it interesting, and provide music that people don't expect to find. It's wonderful to see people discover a musician that is new to them. I get the same thrill from discovering music that has missed my radar.
People are usually surprised that I don't have any records or CDs at home. A combination of several tools of the trade provide access to make new discoveries. Endless rabbit holes. Pandora has been extremely helpful. I pay for the commercial free version, and set up stations based on new discoveries. Each station continues to reveal similar artists. Wikipedia is also useful in researching an artists background, which often aids in making connections with other artists. I also read a lot of musical articles & reviews from many sources. A Bic lead pencil & 4"x6" index cards also play a big part.
I'm not complaining, because I enjoy this process very much. Ann & are both multi-taskers. She has the ability to read, while I'm I'm doing my research / art thing, while we're both binge watching a TV series, and we're still able to relax and have interesting conversations. It's not only possible to relax while being productive, it's also important. Music is far too important to simply turn on a radio. Which is something that I haven't done for years.

Not feeling the need to change anyone's politics, philosophy or religion. Just hoping everything's going well in your lane. Things are well in mine. It's none of my business whether or not you like Fuji apples, but I'm buying more today. I prefer them chilled. Should you make it a mission to find your bliss today, enjoy.

Just ran across this old photo (2011?), while doing a random search of other artists. Someone once complemented me on my truck, & I had to tell them I just stood in front of it for a quick photo op. I have just started a process of making a lot of improvements to the website www.deanwilliamsart.com . This will be a family project, and will take some time. I've been actively making new art since then, on a daily basis. A few months ago, I began organizing & documenting all of the art that is in the vault.
My artwork & the artwork of Brittany Williams has always been an important part of Dean's Music, Movies, Books, Consignment & Art. The business has always involved a lot of family efforts, with the help of people that I consider to be extended family. As we're making improvements to the website, we're also going to improve every other aspect of the business. I really enjoy combining my art with music, movies, books, & other things. The website, as well as Dean's Music, Consignment & Art on Facebook will be updated frequently.
Thanks to everyone who continues to make operating a business on Main Street, Andrews NC possible. We will be updating as progress is being made. There's a lot of work to do, & I'm looking forward to it.
