Hello Everyone, it’s been awhile. As most of you know, we no longer have a business at the previous location. But we are not gone for good.
Meet Winston Perry (pic below) named after his daddy Winston Kevin Perry and grandfather Winston Perry, original owner and operator of Perry’s bait & Tackle. Winston is also the grandfather to Cameron Perry, Ryan Perry, Perry Turner, Cassidy Turner, William Turner, Olivia Turner, Liam Perry, Aden Perry and Bella Perry.
Those that personally know the Perry’s, know that their bloodline runs deep in their love for the Inlet and bait shops. We no longer have a “brick and mortar” but we have a few ideas. We need your help. Anyone interested in the best fiddler crabs in the area? Or perhaps the best handmade crab traps. Let us know what you think. Call or text us at 843-421-4485.

All of you fisherman may remember or have heard of my late husband Winston Perry. He along with his father Grady Perry started a bait and boat rental business in Murrells Inlet back in 1954. Later he moved to a more permanent location and it became known as Perry's Bait and Tackle. This is were our children grew up with creek mud between their toes and were known as creek rats. Winston died in 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. I kept him at home until his death and watched him slowly fade away. I sold Perry's in 2010 and opened Winston's in 2015. I lost my sons Matthew (2016) and Kevin (2017) to the horrible epidemic known as opioid addiction. It has been a living hell. I thank all of you for being so patient. Linda Perry Charles.
