SILENCERS, SHORT BARREL RI**ES, AND BEARS. OH MY.

It’s officially happening. The ATF has issued guidance to remove Silencers from the federal registration process. Why does that matter to you? Well, here at Thunder Lakes we’ve been sending them out the door without this already for 8 weeks now. But, inventory is about to dry up and who knows what it will look like for awhile.

I’ve got quite a bit in the pipeline.

We have an ok amount of inventory available at both stores.

But once that’s gone I think we are looking at some supply issues for the remainder of the year through busy season, holidays, and spring.

If you have been thinking about it. Now is probably the time. Stop in and see what we have or if we can still get what you want.

EDIT: I’ve been in communication with my friend Dan down at Auburn Arms. Of course I’m going to prefer you check with us first. But if we don’t have what you’re looking for, check with them. They have a decent amount of inventory as well. I would rather you get what you want before it’s impossible to get.

Where were you when the world stopped turning, that September day?

I was at Northwest State Community College in Archbold Ohio attending the one single semester of college I've ever done. My best friend and I had told everyone for years we were going to join the military. And we had done just that. Both of us had signed up for the Army Reserves and had already completed basic training and graduated Infantry AIT just 6 weeks prior. We both enrolled in college for Criminal Justice and had recently started school. I was already proving to myself and everyone around me that college wasn't going to be the path for me, when I walked out in-to the Atrium to a TV on one of those wheeled stands playing the news. Just in time to witness the 2nd plane hit. We might have all been young inexperienced college kids, but now we knew this wasn't an accident.

My best friend joined me in the atrium as the news spread through the school. We went to the pay phones (yeah really) and called our reserve unit via collect call. It took 5 attempts to get through because the lines were busy. We didn't know what to do, but we knew we were under attack and we knew we had just signed up to be Infantry soldiers for the next 6 years. Looking back as an adult I now know, these people we expected to have answers were watching the same news broadcast as we were, wondering the same things.

That fateful day changed everyone's lives around me. It lead to both me and my best friend to volunteer for active duty. Led both of us down a wild path in the US Army, where he is still active to this very day. I got out in January of 2012. Everyone around me for my entire military career was directly affected because of this day. It changed the entire life path of literally everyone I know and hold dear as my closest friends. I've lost lots of my military brothers and sisters through the years. All of them that died, lost their lives on this day 25 years ago, some of them just didn't know it at the time.

It changed everything, for everyone.

I’m here early today logging these silencers in. They were delivered at 6:30pm last night. This shipment was supposed to be here 10 days ago, that’s how delayed all these suppliers are in getting shipments out.

You all are buying them up as fast as we can get them, so if you’re still looking and wanting one, might be a good idea to stop in or call up today. No fingerprints, no tax stamp, just a simple background check like any other purchase and walk out the door with it!

Alright! After some delays due to every dealer in the nation ordering a ton of these all at the same time. Our first shipment has arrived in Bryan and is making its way to the Angola store this week. We have about 4 more orders similar in size and variety to this one. These will go very fast, as we are transferring them out over the counter like any other standard fi***rm here at Thunder Lakes.

Alright. Sorry for not having many updates. It’s been a crazy week. But we have a TON of silencer inventory flowing in over the next 3-5 days. Lots of shipments are running behind because of the demand the suppliers all saw instantly. What we thought would be showing up this week is now tracking for next. Lots of items available for OVER THE COUNTER sales coming soon. I will update on here as inventory shows up.

I just got off the phone with our ATF point of contact. As we suspected, the Indianapolis office has received no guidance or updates so far. They are currently in the dark as to what changes will be happening. I am monitoring this by the minute.

I have a stack of inventory ready to be available immediately, and we have a $30k shipment showing up early next week. If I learn I can legally sell these items to you over the counter, I will post on here. Inventory will go fast, and we will allow pre-payment for the silencers we have confirmed are on the way. Once that initial supply is gone, I believe inventory will be very difficult to find for awhile due to a surge in demand.

Keep an eye on this page. Comment below if you want to be kept updated and we will try and reply updates to you directly. Everything is moving quickly and we are trying to keep up.
