Do you like frogs? Do you like earning approval from others? Do you like earning the approval of frogs, specifically? Then boy, do we have a game for you!

"In [Pondscape], players create their own vibrant pond by carefully placing cards featuring various frog species and pond environments while collecting different insect types.

The core mechanisms involve grid building and card management, with pond construction as a spatial puzzle... A unique shared mechanism revolves around the 'jumper frog', a central figure that hunts insects and other food. All players influence the jumper frog's actions and compete to gather insects that can provide bonus points during the final scoring. Careful planning and resourceful play will lead to the most balanced and flourishing pond!"

💀NEW COMIC BOOK DAY IS ON WEDNESDAY💀

Happy August! There's no better time than the next couple of weeks to squeeze in some last minute summer reading, and there's no better place to pick up cool stuff to read than your local comic book store on New Comic Book Day.

This week, Batman #12 brings a new face into the ring. Who is Verity Pennyworth and where did she come from? I don't know, but her suit sure is spiffy. Meanwhile, Absolute Superman and Absolute Green Lantern continue to absolutely knock it out of the park, with issues #22 and #17, respectively. And Marvel is celebrating 60 years of the incredible Mary Jane Watson with Mary Jane: Face It, Tiger #1.

On the small press front, the heavy hitter this week is Chachu #1, which serves as the solo writing debut of actress Iman Vellani, known for her role as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in the MCU. It's "a reinterpretation of the classic neo-noir private investigator story," intertwining with Vellani's own coming-of-age experiences and boasting absolutely gorgeous artwork.

Looking for all the newest and cutest goodies that tokidoki has to offer? Vault of Midnight Ann Arbor keeps a fine stable for Tokidoki's precious Unicornos, and we're always getting more colorful comrades in the herd!
