Just a friendly reminder that Monday, September 7th is Labor Day, so there is NO SCHOOL! 🥳

Enjoy the extra day to relax, recharge, and spend some time with your family! 💜🖤

🚨🐾 WE NEED OUR RATTAN PACK! 🐾🚨

Grandparents Treat is NEXT WEEK, and we have to be honest… we need volunteers! 💜

We are so excited to welcome our grandparents, family members, and special loved ones to Rattan for a little extra time with their Coyote Pups — but we cannot pull this event off without some helping hands.

We need volunteers to help with things like:
🐾 Greeting our guests
🍪 Helping with cookies & lemonade
💜 Assisting during lunch
📋 Helping check in visitors
🧹 Helping us keep things running smoothly

⏰ Even if you can only give us 30 minutes or an hour, it would make a HUGE difference!

🐾💜 COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: THANK YOU, TO OUR AMAZING DJ! 💜🐾

The Rattan Riot would not have been the same without the amazing support of our community sponsors — and today, we want to give a HUGE shoutout to Golden Entertainment Group for helping us keep the party going! 🎶🔥

On an extra hot August Texas day, Stanley generously donated their DJ services AND photo booth, keeping our Coyote Pups dancing, laughing, and making memories all day long! 🎧📸💦

From the music that kept the energy up to the photo booth that captured so many fun moments, your generosity helped make the Rattan Riot the epic end-of-summer celebration we hoped it would be.

💜 We are incredibly grateful for businesses and community members who choose to invest in our students and our school. Your support allows Rattan PTA to create experiences that our families may remember for years to come.

We can't wait to welcome all of our amazing Coyote Pups back for another incredible year of learning, growing, and making friendships that last a lifetime.

💜🐺 WOW, RATTAN… YOU SHOWED UP! 🐺💜

After six hours in the Texas heat, we’re exhausted, sweaty, and running on pure joy after seeing our Rattan family come together today for Rattan Riot!

From 10:00-4:00, our campus was filled with laughter, smiling faces, splashes, music, and memories. Whether you were a returning Coyote Pup or joining us for the very first time, thank you for spending your day with us. Getting to meet so many incredible families reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

A HUGE thank you goes out to our amazing Rattan staff who volunteered their time today. From running activities to bravely taking a seat in the Dunk Tank and Splash Blast, you helped make this event unforgettable for our students. Your willingness to jump in (sometimes literally!) means more than you know.

Special recognition goes to our incredible Principal, Mrs. Allen, who spent the entire day supporting the event, encouraging families, and even climbing into the Dunk Tank. Your enthusiasm, leadership, and willingness to have fun right alongside our students is one of the many reasons Rattan is such a special place and so lucky to have you!

We also want to thank our fantastic community partners:

🎧 Golden Entertainment Group for bringing the energy all day long with an amazing DJ and Photo Booth that kept the party going from start to finish.

🍧 Hawaii Five Sno for serving up the perfect refreshing shaved ice to help everyone cool off.

🍽️ Ballsy Food Truck for keeping us fueled with their delicious jambalaya, buffalo chicken balls, and other incredible eats.

Finally, none of this happens without our incredible Rattan PTA Board and the volunteers who gave their time before, during, and after the event. From planning for months, setting up early this morning, working throughout the day, and staying late to clean up—you are the heart of our PTA. Your dedication creates opportunities for our students and families to connect, build community, and make memories that last long after the event is over.

Thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, supported, and celebrated with us today. This was just the beginning, and we can’t wait to bring you even more fun throughout the school year.
