🌤️ Shade is one of the biggest challenges for solar panels on boats.
A boom, mast, antenna, instrument pole, or other equipment can cast shadows across your solar panel, and even partial shading can significantly reduce the performance of a conventional panel.

That's where shade-tolerant solar panels can make a difference.

For this Lagoon Power Catamaran in Spain, the answer was 5,720 watts! ⚡

The goal was simple: reduce the amount of time the generator needed to run each day. We worked with the owner to make the most of the available space, using multiple solar arrays with both walkable and rail-mounted marine panels.
The owner later shared 31.7 kWh of solar production in a day and said the panels were producing more than expected. 🙌
