The perfect mini pair of hoops does exist. Sterling silver with a subtle amount of coastal style. These rope wrapped hoops are the kind of pair you can quickly put on and feel ready for the day. An easy way to elevate your look or layer with other mini earrings. I love that there is a bit of extra detail to these- as much as I love a classic plain hoop I do love a little bit of flair once in a while and these hit the perfect balance.

When your phone sends you photos of your old life but doesn’t know that everything has changed in the last 2 months…

It’s so wild to think about how the year started vs. how it will end. I never would have predicted this shift in the business or transition but I am so excited to see where it takes me. Being in Taxco this week, meeting with artists, and working on some design ideas has been very inspiring ✨. Going with the flow is a whole mindset shift but I’m glad I decided to try to let go and move forward. I do love when my phone sends me memories of the most beautiful store that I got to grow up in, but I am happy to be making new memories.

Thank you everyone for your continued support through this change while I move into the next chapter of Blanca Flor. It truly means the most to me!

I’m here in Taxco finding beautiful silver to bring home to the shop and I wanted to share a few of my favorite views, places, and of course a sneak peek at some of the jewelry that is coming back with me.

I am here with my dad and it’s been so nice to spend time together since he lives in Mexico City and I don’t see him as often as I would like. But we have been visiting our favorite places, seeing artists that he started buying from over 30 years ago, and enjoying the views and food.

Top recommendations (I usually spend 90% of the time visiting artists and buying silver but when I’m not):

Stay: Pueblo Lindo

Eat: Mole Rosa, queso cilantro & pozole verde (all Taxco specialties)

Where to eat: Pozole at Tía calla, tacos at Tacos Roy, mole rosa at Rosa Amaranto, queso cilantro at el adobe.

Drink: Maragritas at La Parroquia overlooking the church, drinks on the roof of Rosa Amaranto, Berta at Bar Berta on the main square

Do: browse all of the stunning silver in town or take a class with professor Gus where you can make your own silver ring. I’ll post more about this amazing experience soon!

I know there are a ton of other incredible places I haven’t been to because I always go back to the places I love and that hold long term memories for me. I’ve been going to all of these places since I was a child so they are, of course, my favorites.

Mariel Ramos and her uncle Jose Julián have been working together for 10 years in this beautiful art of “trabajo en punto fino”. They hand punch all of these stunning Milagros and mirrors and I wanted to show you how they make their pieces by hand with special tools. The details are incredible and I’m blown away by the artistry and method.

Jose Julián is 74 years old and has been creating and working in this style for over 40 years. I met Mariel in Oaxaca when I purchased a mirror with milagros hanging from it for my personal collection but I soon realized I wanted to learn more about her family’s process and decided to bring a small collection to our shop.

We have carried beautiful hand punched tin pieces in our shop before but I had never seen mirrors like these before and I quickly fell in love!

¡Que viva México!

Mexico has some of the most meaningful and strong memories for me. Here are some of the places throughout Mexico that hold a special place in my heart. But more than the places, it’s the people that are there that hold my heart, mi familia ❤️.

1. Tepoztlán. We used to go to Posada del Tepozteco all the time as a kid and it held such strong special memories that I even thought about getting married there.

2. Acapulco. So many memories at this specific lookout point on family vacations.

3. My grandparents garden in Cuernavaca. The most meaningful place in all of Mexico for me.

4. Taxco. Where we go for all of the most beautiful sterling silver jewelry. I have been going here since I was a baby and I’m going back on Sunday!

5. Hacienda Blanca Flor. Our family’s ancestral home and the inspiration behind our business name.

6. Seminario 12 in El Zocalo, CDMX. This is where my husband and I got married.

7. El Parque México in La Condesa. My dad lives around the corner and we have spent so many wonderful family afternoons here.

8. A margarita at La Parroquia in Taxco overlooking the church. My favorite view.
