A philosophy I came upon while working on these wedding shots was that if it's not an art shot, stop trying to render it like an art shot. I also had to develop an opposition to my wildlife shots. In wildlife I want the sharpest image possible to really bring out those details. In wedding shots, I want to allow some softness in to some of them. I also thank God for the removal tool. Back in the day, removing someone from the background took ages with the clone stamp, layers, brush work, and hours. The removal tool isn't perfect but it's a great starting point for fixing some distracting cords, signs, or even people. But sometimes I leave those things in because it's a part of the scene. We might add some background blur to make them less distracting but so far I've rendered every frame specifically for the frame itself. It's definitely taking longer, but the results are definitely paying off.
Here are a couple of the shots from the Kolpack wedding I took.
