Her back story…
Someone found the need to shoot her out in Plant City, for no reason other than being an as***le. A Corporal with HCSO took her to the shelter and she became an overnight celebrity with the county. I saw her on the news and decided I neeeeed to save her! Lisa Sisson with Knights Air assisted in making the arrangements for us to meet and get the ball rolling to make her a part of my family.
She has been with me and by my side ever since!
You can see she’s aging well; not so much the untrained beast who used to chew up all my bedding to include a mattress once.
All I can say is that adopting is always giving a chance to a life that could have ended differently.
Shuggie who was known early on as Cupcake was not an ideal choice but she was my choice and one I would never change. She has become the best dogs I’ve ever rescued and loves her rescue sister Bella and rescue brother Bubba almost as much as she loves me. (Don’t tell Bella or Bubba!)
Thinking about having her guest manage the shop one day, what say you guys?

MISSED CONNECTION: Hope you see this.

I was walking through the discount marine vinyl section yesterday 11:08am picking up an order of vinyl.

I know this is a long shot, but I figured I’d try.

We crossed paths in the marine fabric aisle at the wholesale fabric outlet in Apollo Beach.

You were pushing a shopping cart with several yards of marine vinyl. I was wearing a mint colored Captain’s Quarters Custom Fishing Shirt and hat, probably looking like I had somewhere important to be when, in reality, I was wandering around the tile aisle for the third time that day because that's what I do.

Our eyes met.

Just for a second.

But there was something there.

You looked at me.

I looked at you.

You looked back at me.

And as you slowly pushed your cart past, I couldn't help but turn around and watch you disappear down the aisle.

I've thought about that moment ever since.

Was it fate?

Was it chemistry, like the sound of a pneumatic stapler?

Were you hoping I would say something?

I'll probably never know.

But there was something in your eyes that I couldn't shake.

Something that said...

“I bought the vinyl myself and now I need someone to recover my seats.”

Maybe I misread the situation.

Maybe you were just trying to find the right thread.

But if you're out there, just know that I felt it too.

I also noticed you had approximately 10 yards of marine vinyl in your cart thinking to yourself if only you had someone who could take care of it instead of handling it yourself.

And please don't tell me you were planning on using the cheapest bid.

Wherever you are, mystery man, I hope you found what you were looking for.

And if you made sure you had everything you needed for the job at hand ...

I was right there. And now I'm just left wondering if you needed help with that big of a job.

Some connections are too important to miss.

First I want to thank you all for the prayers and messages for my mom who passed in May. It’s been an uphill haul since my dad passed in December. Oma and Opa were married 64 years and they are together again.

We are back up running and getting things done.
