From Brother Rolando Vargas. With permission from the Worshipful Masters of the Proud 16th District, Rolando would like to bring Isaiah to your dinners before your Stated Communication for a small presentation.

Good morning all,

Have you heard of the “Traveling Surfboard”? Well, let me enlighten you. Isaiah Vargas a DeMolay youth and son of Master Mason Rolando Vargas was elected to participate in the Special Olympics National Summer Games in 2022 in the sport of Surfing.

Although this is a great achievement, Isaiah and the entire constituents for the 2022 Summer Games were asked to fundraise $1,500 each. All proceeds will benefit Special Olympics Programs. Why is this important? This is a global organization that changes lives by promoting understanding, acceptance and inclusion among people with and without intellectual disabilities. We will continue to unleash the power of the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sports, every day.

Our goal is to visit every Lodge in the 16th district in the spirit of fundraising, we will be bringing along the “Traveling Surfboard” for photo opportunities and a chance to meet Isaiah in person. The 2022 Special Olympics Summer Games will be hosted in Orlando Florida between June 5th through the 12th in various locations between Clermont and Kissimmee and including Disney.
