It's our annual Chalk Walk in Downtown Appleton TODAY!

Per Appleton Downtown:
✨ You're invited to witness artistry on display along College Avenue. Our annual Chalk Walk is a completely FREE way to explore Downtown. Our chalk artists will be creating magical art on the sidewalks of our district on Friday. Come watch them work during the day or take a walk after 6:00 p.m., when all art must be complete for judging.

In Celebration of Harry Houdini, we have also invited magicians to show off their talents from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. throughout Downtown Appleton.
Chalk Walk is a perfect time to shop, dine and explore! Grab a coffee or a meal, or sneak in some retail therapy. Check out the Trout Museum of Art (admission is free) or the History Museum at the Castle (free child admission with paid adult admission for Children's Week) while you're here.

“Melissa Nicole” is a pseudonym for Melissa Haag and Nicolette Pierce, an amazing writing duo that met by chance in Wisconsin and discovered they’re almost neighbors. After discovering Nicole could keep up with Melissa’s derailed thought conversation without needing a nap, Melissa quickly convinced Nicole they needed to co-author a book together.

Where do we get all of our used inventory? The community!
One of our most common questions is, "Do you buy books?"

We don't do cash for books but that allows us to give you more for your books for trade credit. Your trade credit covers up to HALF of your purchase on USED books! (For instance, if we sell a used book for $4.00, you would pay $2.00 out of pocket, and $2.00 would come off your trade account). Trade credit never expires!

We give you 25% of the cover price on paperbacks and $3-6 on hardbacks in trade credit.

*Trade credit does not apply towards new books, rentals, the cheap section by the bathroom, or gift items. New books are already 15% of the cover price anyway!*
