🌙 When the lights go down, the Night Life Series comes alive.

This week’s featured Levy’s strap pairs ultra-soft premium black leather with a celestial moon-and-stars design, meticulously embroidered for a look that stands out in the daylight and becomes even more memorable after dark.

Charge the embroidery in sunlight or bright light, then watch the celestial details glow when the stage lights fade.

It’s a strap built for players who want more than function, combining comfort, durability, craftsmanship, and a little after-hours attitude.

Stop in at Heid Music to see this week’s 52 Weeks of Levy’s feature up close.

🎶 Meet the Team – Shahnnon 🎶
Education Account Manager 🍎

For Shahnnon, music has always been connected to family, fun, and the people around her. One early musical memory even includes borrowing her mom’s baton to do a little conducting.

Today, Shahnnon brings that connection to music into her role as an Education Account Manager at Heid Music. One of her favorite memories on the job was helping connect a director with a working tuba just days before Solo & Ensemble.

“I felt like a superhero, and it reminds me that what I do is very important.”

Outside of work, cycling has become a big part of Shahnnon's life. She loves riding with friends around Green Bay and recently made it all the way to Pulaski on the trail, with Bonduel next on the list. She also enjoys making silly videos with her ocarina and EWI and is looking forward to playing the Zelda remake when it comes out.

Before a performance, Shahnnon has a routine that helps her settle in. Along with practicing, she puts on her headphones and listens to Yes’s acoustic version of “Australia.” The song reminds her of time spent with her dad and helps her feel calmer and more centered before performing. 🎶

And then there are the animals. Shahnnon’s three cats are all named after cheese: Gorgonzola, better known as Zola, Muenster, and Xena-Fontina. Muenster even makes an appearance in this post, along with Louis, one of Shahnnon’s favorite dogs to babysit. 🐱🐶

For Shahnnon, helping educators and musicians find what they need is an important part of the work she does at Heid Music, and her own love of music continues well beyond the workday. 💙

Music can open the door to creativity, confidence, connection, and a lifelong love of learning. 🎶

This Kids Music Day, October 2, we’re celebrating the importance of music education and all the opportunities that can begin with a child’s very first note.

Whether your young musician is getting ready for band or orchestra, exploring an instrument for the first time, or simply curious about making music, Heid Music is here to help make that beginning feel welcoming and manageable.

From finding the right instrument to answering those first questions along the way, we’re here to help kickstart their musical journey and support them as they grow.

Here’s to helping more kids discover what music can bring into their lives. 💙

🎶 The Green Bay Southwest High School Band is creating meaningful opportunities for students to learn, perform, grow, and connect through music.

Through rehearsals, performances, and shared musical experiences, student musicians have a place to build their skills, confidence, and sense of community. 🎵

Want to support these musicians in person? Green Bay Southwest will join Green Bay East, Preble, and West for the 13th Annual Marching Band Showcase on Saturday, October 10 at 1:00 p.m. at City Stadium at Green Bay East High School. Gates open at 12:30 p.m., and admission is free. 🥁

It’s a great opportunity to see each band’s Homecoming Field Show and celebrate the students and educators who make music an important part of their schools and communities.

Heid Music is proud to help shine a spotlight on the students and educators making music throughout Wisconsin.

Congratulations, Green Bay Southwest High School Band! 🎺🥁🎷
