If you know, you know! šš°š¹
The truckās all packed, itās half past three,
Got rabbits and cavies riding with me.
Coffeeās hot, the highwayās long,
Weāre running on fumes, but weāre going strong!
The cages are stacked, the entryās paid,
Thereās feed in the truck and plans weāve made.
Our wallets are empty, but nobody knows,
We somehow found money for another show!
Itās the SHOW LIFE!
Itās the ribbons and the glory,
Itās the judges and the drama,
And the same old gossip story!
Itās the early morning madness,
And the miles we have to go,
Itās spending all our money
Just to win a five-dollar bow!
We bought another rabbit,
We swore we wouldnāt do it,
But someone had a junior doe,
And our self-control said, āSCREW IT!ā
The cavies need a bath again,
The rabbits need their nails trimmed,
Weāve groomed until our backs gave out,
And the judge still found a fault with him!
The judge picks someone elseās,
We smile and say, āThatās great!ā
Then whisper to our best friend,
āIād sure like to see THAT scorecard, mate!ā
Itās the SHOW LIFE!
Itās the friendships and the fights,
Itās sleeping in a Motel 6,
And hauling cages late at night!
Itās sneaking rabbits into hotels,
And hoping no one sees,
While the cavies start their wheeking
Every time somebody sneezes!
The kids are missing school again,
But hey, theyāre learning stuff!
Like how to lose with dignity,
When the judge says, āNot enough!ā
Itās the grooming and the blowing,
And the fur upon our clothes,
Itās driving fifteen hours
Just to hear the judge say, āYou lose!ā
We spent a hundred bucks on raffles,
Didnāt win a single thing,
But weāll spend another hundred
For a bag of feed and a chance to win!
Then we spot the Show Life booth,
And suddenly weāre rich!
We need a shirt, a cup, some stickers,
And that hoodie we canāt ditch!
Our credit cards are screaming,
Our bank accounts are fried,
But look at all this merchandise
Weāve somehow justified!
We say weāre done, weāre quitting,
Weāre selling every cage,
Then someone posts a show flyer,
And weāre back on center stage!
Our families think weāre crazy,
Our neighbors think weāre strange,
Weāve got more cages than furniture,
And we wouldnāt change a thing!
Itās the SHOW LIFE!
Itās the heartbreak and the pride,
Itās a rabbit in the backseat
And a cavy riding sh***un by our side!
Itās the Best in Show weāre chasing,
Itās the friends weāve come to know,
Itās an empty bank accountā¦
